How to read the results?
The four gauges describe the stretch of network between you and the selected location.
Download
How much data the location manages to send you per second. It determines how quickly a visitor receives pages and files from the website.
Upload
How much data you manage to send to the location. It matters if you regularly upload large files, database dumps or video to the server.
Ping
The time it takes a request to reach the location and come back. The lower the latency, the faster the website and the control panel respond.
Jitter
How much the latency jumps from one request to the next. Steady jitter matters wherever data flows as a stream: calls, video conferencing, games.
The test measures the whole path from your device to the location, so your ISP, your Wi-Fi and your computer's load all affect it. Run it a few times and compare the locations with each other rather than with absolute numbers. If the latency is higher than expected, the traceroute below will show where along the route it grows.

Download a test file with wget or a browser and compare it with the gauges. That shows whether the speed is limited by the location or by your own connection.
