The service is suspended first and then deleted along with the data. You can renew the server and keep the data only up until deletion — top up your balance in advance or switch on auto-renewal.
Can I get a refund for a server I haven't used?
Yes. We recalculate the cost: the unused days are returned to your account balance, and from there you can order another server or renew the current one.
The server is paid for but not responding: no ping, no SSH
In most cases this is the IP being blocked by providers in Russia rather than a fault on the server. We will replace the IP or move the server to another location, and recalculate the cost for the downtime.
How do I switch off auto-renewal?
Auto-renewal is switched off in the client area, in the service card. If the toggle does not respond, get in touch and we will switch it off manually.
Where do I find the server password?
The password is sent to your email as soon as the server is activated. It is also always available in the client area — in the server card, under the connection details.
Can I change the server location?
Yes. The server in the new location is created from scratch, and we recalculate the cost of the remaining days on the old one. Data is transferred manually — we will send you a guide to help.
How long does server activation take?
The server is usually issued automatically within a few minutes. Some locations involve a manual check — if it is taking longer, get in touch and we will speed it up.
Can I check the ping before buying?
Yes, each location has a test IP and a file for measuring speed — check the latency in advance and choose the nearest location.
How do I connect to the server?
After paying for the server, you will receive an email with connection details. Install the Putty client or BitVise Client, check the documentation, and enter the SSH details from the email.
What projects are dedicated and virtual servers suited for?
A dedicated server offers the highest level of hosting security available. Uptime is higher and the probability of software errors is minimal; on top of that, you do not share the server with other websites, so their load will not affect your work. Ideal for large projects and unique configurations. A virtual server also has a high level of protection against DDoS attacks based on traffic filtering, but it suits small and medium-sized businesses or private use. Such a server is ideal for mail, telephony, a website with moderate traffic, and for protecting your network when connecting to other servers. VPS/VDS is a hosting service that gives the user a share of the resources of one or more physical servers.
Will the speed match the tariff?
Yes, we guarantee the speed you pay for, and thanks to Burst technology you can widen your server's channel. If you have taken a 250 Mbps tariff, the burst will be up to 1 Gbps when there is no network load from other users.
Can I change the server configuration after ordering?
Yes, change configurations to suit your tasks directly in the server management client area. This works with both ready-made solutions and additional configurations.
Where are the servers physically located?
Our own Tier III data centres are in Moscow and Novosibirsk: that is where our equipment stands, and that is where we host customer servers for colocation. The other locations from the configurator can be checked in advance in Looking Glass — by ping and speed. Availability is fixed in the SLA — 99.9%.
